Introduction |
The MVM2120 provides consumers with a connection between their current telephony appliances (phones, fax machines, and modems) and the developing Broadband Telephony over IP network. The MVM2120 is designed to provide telephony and data services at least comparable to currently available services as well as extend those services in the future.
The MVM2120 will digitize audio from a connected phone, modem, or fax machine, process the audio following a coding scheme (such as G.711) and transmit them to the connected device using RTP.The MVM2120 converges voice and data, on one network, in one product. By combining multiple services in one unit, consumers can enjoy an efficient solution that offers many advantages over competing technologies.
